Bryce Harper recently released a video of his pre-game hitting routine. It was nothing short of fascinating for the typical fan, and even more amazing for the hard-core player in us all.

But for the team here at BaseballBats.net, our favorite part was pausing each time he switched bats! We noticed he used five different bats during the process, and were glad to screen capture and document them for you all.

You’re welcome 🙂

1) Caught on video as he sets up the camera, this black-handled light-colored bat is all pine-tarred up and ready for action. But sadly isn’t used for any actual swinging (yet).

2) Handed to him by his ‘assistant’ – this piece is taped up at the dark-colored barrel and is used to hit soft toss into the side of the hitting net. With both hands, and also one-handed with just his back (left) hand. He wraps up with the knob drill, where he taps the soft-tossed balls straight down with the bottom of the bat. He literally tosses this bat to the ground before setting up for drill and bat #2.

"Bryce

3) His next bat (Rawlings logo?) is also handed to him (that’d be nice, wouldn’t it be!?) by his assistant/hitting coach while he sets up the tee. It’s a single-toned, light-colored bat, also taped up at the barrel.

4) After disappearing off-screen for a flash-second, Harper returns with what we believe is the original bat shown on camera. Looks like it just might be his favorite, as he starts out with it, and now uses it for the most legitimate part of the warm-up.
