Just ordered the AJ10. I hope my son likes the feel I expect it to be a bit end loaded, but hopefully this will help him develop more strength and power over the winter.

    yes - should help

I recommend starting a session (T, soft/front toss, BP or whatever) with the regular bat - then go to the wood bat - then finish with regular bat

make sure form / quality is good before moving to the wood bat

can then increase reps with the wood bat as kid becomes more comfortable and accomplished with the wood bat

you can also finish with a lighter bat (overload/underload with focus on bat speed)

change it up at times ; at times you can use just wood bat - but make sure to include sessions when the regular bat is used

    don't over work kid

you / kid will need to decide if to install a grip - or use whatever sticky substance
